The guy that does the classes through Al & Bobs tends to have a lot of openingseven on short notice and often does 2-3 classes in GR a month depending on the time of year and whatnot.

Viper security in Kalamazoo has a very good class. I know it's a little drive from GR. The owner and main intructor is a Van Buren County Deputy and a NRA instructor. http://www.vipermi.com/

I took mine through Al & Bob's. We did go to Silver Bullet for the range part though. It cost $125 included the range fee, doughnuts in the morning and pizza for lunch. My instructor was John Speck from Your Best Shot.

Also who I took mine with. As noted above he often has openings just days in advance (at least a year ago this was the case). He does a good job. It's not the most tactical class in the world but it gets you on your way. I'd recommend it.

Check w/ Hilltop Sports in Greenville. I know they offer classes, but I don't know what their schedule is.
