any way to find out if a county is going to issue antlerless permits? Otsego usually does but sadly didnt last year. any good place to look up specific stats on what deer were taken where?

could get up to 4 antlerless permits last year 5 years 7 years back you could get 3 a day :bfg2: and last year i only seen 4 deer ware i hunt

go to the dnr website and they have a link for the dmu units..

You won't be able to find out until the new Antlerless hunting guides come out. The application period is from July 15 to August 15. The guides usually come out a week or so before that.

I sure don't remember any year that you could get more then one permit per day.

Otsego county is below goal so I wouldn't expect antlerless permits at least for another year or two, and even then it will probably be minimal, like less than 500. They have also ended TB surveillance (collecting and testing heads) for the county which means they are even less likely to issue permits unless truly needed. The quotas are normally approved at the NRC meeting at the beginning of July. Sometimes the expected quotas are published earlier, but not much.
