got a russian sks 1952. I redone the stock about 10 years ago
(sanding and clear coat) it has about 400 to 500 rds thru her..
i wish i could post picks but it will not let me yet:(

If your asking a question please state. If your Russian is 90% original pure stock without the stock finish you did, it would bring $400.00 in a good market.

Agreed. Does not appear to be a refurb- blued rather than black finish, bolt still in the white. Unfortunately a high end collector won't touch it with the refinished stock, so now a $250 to $300 shooter (assuming you still have the original 10 round mag).

thanks guys. i still have the 10 rd. stock mag. but the stock has been
re-done.. i was thinking of selling it to a buddy of mine but i dont know for sure.

$250-$300 seems fair IMO.

I would buy a russian for $250 and feel like i got a deal for a shooter.
The guys are right, re arsenal original wood, original finish, you could get $400 pretty easy i think.
I see them selling sometimes for $500.
During the buying craze last year/fall 08 russians were selling sometimes more than $600.
My dad has two mint re arsenal tulas. They look way nicer than that, but maybe its just the pics.
I would ask your buddy to buy it at $300, then work down but dont give it away, even if you ruined some collectablility they are still some neat guns.
