I saw this site the other day and thought it was extremely interesting. What does everyone else think?

From fear of safety issues is why I asked what you guys thought, and it is mostly the electrical setup he used that caused me the most concern. After reading the comments above, I started to think what I could use to make it safer. I think I may have a solution.

How about using the heating element from an electric frying pan? Temperature control goes up to over 400F, and the heating element is in a lot safer form than the one in the article.

Can someone else think of a safer heating element for this oven?

Questionable construction aside, I don't think $4 houshold lamp dimmers are rated at 220V. They definitely won't handle 10A as one of his musings suggests. You would need something in a commercial duty rating for this.

Anybody smell smoke yet?
