I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but the only time I've ever seen clay shooters rest the muzzle of their shotguns on one of their feet was when it was a side-by-side or O/U and it was open. I've done it with my O/U. I wouldn't think of doing that with my pump.

Tom was calling it a Laser all weekend, I think that's a much better term than a powertool... whatever's in the path of your muzzle could be cut down...

1. That pic has been around for awhile. This is the first I've heard it attributed to Mas.
2. Kevin's, an upscale outfitter, sells a leather shotgun rest for your shoes. They actually promote resting it this way. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes the first time I saw the ad.

Public schools should teach certain basic safety rules to our children at a very early age. Right up there with “Don’t urinate on the electric fence or the third rail”; “Don’t eat the yellow snow”; and “Don’t stand in the doorway of a Harley bar and scream ‘Kawasaki rules!’; should be…
DO NOT POINT GUN MUZZLES AT YOUR OWN BODY PARTS!
:yeahthat: But it will never happen

I shot trap a few times a year, theres always the same guy there with the little leather strap that has a nub for the barrel on it. He shoots an O/U and rests it while its open. I just got a used citori, it was feeling pretty heavy by the end of a few rounds. Wish I was in the nub club

I think that guys big toe bone is showing on the edge there...reminds me of when I sliced my fingertip off on a bicycle disc brake rotor (long story). I wouldn't be suprised if they take off his big toe.
that looks painful! its amazing what can happen to people when they are careless and do not practice the basic safety rules. a couple months ago there was a guy in my area that was playing with his "unloaded" gun in his apartment and it ended up shooting a hole through his wall and hitting a small child in the next apartment.
