Does anyone have any info on ID'ing a Colt Gov't barrel. I have an older model Commercial and the barrel is only stamped with a P and C in a square. I'm trying to figure out if the gun is all original. Thanks

Not sure how old you're talking but-

Colts from somewhere in the 2 million range number range, (1945 production) will have barrels with a Gothic “C” in a square on the Left lug. A “P” mark will also usually be applied to the left lug. These barrels are fully blued with a semi-matte semi-reflective finish.

It's a 1932 Colt Gov't Commercial.
