Gentlemen (and ladies), I have inherited a black powder rifle. I'm wondering if someone could give me an idea of its value. It is a 2004 Lyman Trade Rifle in 50 caliber (percussion). It seems to be in really good condition, with a nick on the stock.

Any idea of what its used value might be?

Thanks!

depending on the buyer and his/her need, wood and blueing condition, upwards of $125 would be reasonable...

Watch out! If you really get to know that Lyman, you may not sell it. I had one that after some 2200 round balls (1-66 twist) through it, I let it go, in a moment of weakness. And to think I was just getting it broke in!

Larry...thanks. I took it to the club and the black power guys said 200 would be a fair price. I'm going to list it at the club...and if it does not move, I will list it on MIGO's site. I don't really shoot black powder...so it's all kind of black magic to me...
