I shot the match and scored 478 out of a possible 500. Real nice groupings ,tearing the X ring out of it then I'd suddenly drop 4 shots to the bottom of the target screwing the chance of a clean run! :banghead:

Jim,

Congratulations on shooting so well. Sorry to hear you threw a few shots. I know how frustrating that is. Still, it sounds like you shot well overall.

It was a good time, to bad it only took 10 minutes to complete the course of fire. I shot it twice.

When I left at 3:30 there was one 495, two 490's and me at 485.

To bad they are only going to give trophy's for 1st through 3rd place.

How many would you suggest they give?

Good shooting Steve. GSSF uses the Lewis system of scoring and will use the two best scores out of the three matches shot. They award first through third in each of 4 divisions for a total of 12 trophies.

Oh yeah, I'm a pro now.

At this point it's just a matter of my target not looking like a used a sawed off shotgun like it did several months ago. I'm just at the point where I can justify owning a decent handgun! I got schooled by several there who had much better focus and didn't throw away shots.

I was at this match. I was a little disappointed that it was only 50 rounds and over so quick. As far as my shooting, I wish I would have had my Kimber. I'll go to the February match but I'll most likely skip any more GSSF matches. I found it boring after shooting IDPA regularly.
