I was recently given a 1971 Marlin 444S 22" and it is about 90% condition, the gun overall looks great,no rust and has all the blueing, minor stock blemishes and has scope holes drilled in the reciever.I plan on keeping it because it has been passed through the family for almost 40 years, but I am still curious to what it's worth.

Probably around $3255-$350 per my book, Cabelas had a 1970 for $329 last week.:twocents:

The value sounds like what I been hearing alot,I have asked on a couple of national forums and I hear anything from $300 to $400,it would take a grand before I ever sold it though because it's worth alot more to me than $300.Now if I could just get my hands on that 80% condition 1942 Winchester 30-30 that my dad has sitting in his closet, and i'd be pretty happy and have something to brag about.:spawn:
