I'm Dave from Harper Woods, MI I recognize a few names from the MCRGO board. From the little bit I've read thus far, this looks like an interesting board with a group of decent people. I am looking forward to some interesting reads, and some active participation.

Welcome Dave. What's your favorite shooting forum? Personal protection? Hunting? Competition? Plain ole fun shooting? And (something we get passionate/possesive about) what's your favorite gun?

I'm an enthusiast. I like plain 'ole fun shooting, I'm very keen on personal protection, although very new to concealed carry. None the less, I endorse it whole heartedly. I have always been a gun/shooting enthusiast, just never had the time it seems to "actively" peruse it. Now that I have given up some of my other expensive hobbies, I can play in this area a bit more. I think at some point in the future, I may be interested in some competitive shooting. I'm not sure how deeply I'll delve into it, but it does capture my interest. I think something along the lines of IDPA would work for me. Not one of the super high tech classes, but the ones that require you to use your everyday carry gear. I'd like to get into some pin shooting also. Perhaps next winter. That looks like fun.
My favorite pistol is my Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II. I also am getting to really like my Springfield XD-9 ! So much so, that I am going to go ahead and purchase an XD-40 for concealed carry. I have taken a liking to the as yet unavailable Browning Pro-40 as well. I've got a Berretta 92 FS, a Bushmaster AR-15, a Mossberg 500 shortie, ect... Oh yeah, I'm starting to like the Glocks now too ! Whenever I can afford something, I buy something. Haven't been able to convince the family to get by on 2 meals a week yet....

Pin shooting is a blast, & not too far (12 & Gratiot) from where you are.
Good luck with that two meals a day thing!!! :D

Good lord, Smith and Wesson is making a 1911, and Marty writes a short post. What's the world coming to?
