I just bought a Para 16-40 limited and my trigger pull is about 9lbs, looking for a decent gunsmith within SE Michigan to fix my para. any suggestions.........

need more info. is this the LDA type ( double action) , or the single action 9 normal 1911) type?
two schools of thought on this....
1. why not try installing a different spring pak to see if it helps? (LDA)
SIngle action? definately new springs.. (mainspring mostly...)
2. take it to a 'smith....

Marianne Carniak is doing a trigger job on my Delta Elite right now. Not sure if she will touch a Para but will ask her next time I see her.

pkuptruck, yup its a single action, I just tried to make some adjustment and I think I have some improvement but definitely I'm gonna change spring to a Wolff Variable power Springs

good deal!
mainsprings are finaky.... go with a good one to start with! ( wolfe, wilson, fusion, mcCormick, etc.... alot of times the factory springs are a bit 'strong"...
good luck, and let us know how it works out!

It was a big difference, now my trigger pull is 4.5 to 5 lbs by just changing my sear and mainspring with wolff. I didn't even touch my sear.
