I've just been bequeathed three pistols. The first is a .357 for which I have the deceased's green registration card. The second is a .45 Colt for which I do not have the registration card. The third is a black powder .44 pistol. What do I do now to have them registered to me. I do have a Michigan concealed carry license. Thank you for your answers.

Whoever is in charge of the estate signs the forms as the seller.

No registration required for the black powder pistol

You fill out an RI60 form for the first two listing yourself as executor and yourself as buyer. Send in the forms as instructed on the bottom of the form and you should then be good to go.

Registration cards are not required to be kept except for newly registered guns and then for only 30 days. If carried on your person you must have the RI60 with you.

Maybe, but he's got to get elected first.

Is there a limit to how many RI-060 forms a person can submit per month or day. I wish to buy 2 handguns and do not know if I need to wait some time between the purchases. Thanks

Welcome Ruby to MGO,

If you have a CPL/CCW you can buy as many Gun as you want ...

All though you will get a few question from the Gun store owner...

If you don't and have to get perching permits, you local PD might question it ,but if your able to, they should deny the permits solely on the how many you like to buy at one time..

Side note: They better be for you...
