I am posting this for someone, so if you have any questions or want different pictures or anything, i will do my best to relay the info.




Any idea what kind of gun this is and possible a current value?

it says 7 then 1 with the 7 on top of the 1. Then a circle with a star in it and i cant make out the rest...the flip flint lock has the same markings as the barrel

That is a French Model 1867 Infantry Rifle, probably converted to a shotgun waaaaayyy back when. I had one hanging on my bedroom wall as a kid. It was in excellent condition and I sold it two years ago for $125.00. Probably should have kept it but I have enough junk laying around as it is.

thanks...i also found one on gunbroker with a "zulu conversion" that is going for $149...but no bids yet
