Shot today in Saline, actually just got home from there. Good time. What a bunch of good people. The Safety Officers were great. Looking forward to a return trip there only this time I'll bring my 9mm instead of the .357sig. Had a few flyers that shouldn't have happened but oh well. Only put a couple hundred rounds through my G32 since I've had it, guess I'll have to get more used to it. Pretty impressive flame out the end of the barrel as the darkness set in though.

Darn... forgot about this.. was wanting to go and watch the event. I have wanted to check out the IDPA shoot and see if it is something I might be interested in but cant seem to make it to the monthly shoots.

Does anyone know if there is there another one in March? I have a friend too who might be interested in going with me and checking it out.

I was there as well. It was my first time, and I agree it was a great bunch of people. Everyone was very supportive and positive, and it was a great experience. I will definately be shooting again.

I've been looking into this as I'd like to get more involved. Tri-County Sportsmans League in Saline has IDPA shoots the 4th Saturday of each month.

The Livingston Conservation Club has matches the 2nd Saturday of each month beginning in April.

The Linden Sportsmen Club has matches the 1st Saturday of each month beginning in April.

The next IDPA at Tri-County Sportsman League should be MArch 27.

Check out the web site and pre register. The number of shooters is limited and they fill up fast.

I think the Livingston club has a "intro" session planned in the near future. Contact Dave Johnson (see their web site listed above) for more details.

BTW, other than the CDP (custom defense pistol) class, 9mm seems to be most popular. But anything that is carry suitable will do.
