Thinking of selling this .22 revolver to fund another. 6" barrel, 10 hole cylinder, SS, full lug; maybe 500 rounds through it. It's hard to tell value from GB and Guns America cause there seems to big a wide spread in asking price. What say you brothers?

I know this probably won't help you much but every time I've sold a handgun that was still available from Dealers, i.e. not a discontinued model or previous generation, I've checked the Dealer priceing in the market / area I'm offering it in and figure out my used price from there.

Like I said, that probably didn't help you much.............

No, that helps; solid thinking. I haven't seen any in the local shops. I'll just ask how much to order order one. Thanks!

Value tends to go up on S&W revolvers if they are pre lock. S&W revolers without the lock usually add $50 to $100 and sometimes more to the value. Original box is a plus.

on gun broker they are asking between $700-$800 that doesnt mean they will get that price. Thats about the price you can find a used .500 Magnum for. I think realistically you will be more likely to sell a 617 for in the neighborhood of $475- $550 just my 2cents.

You're welcome! If you offer it here in the MGO Classifieds be sure to include a photo or two, who knows, I may be interested in it myself. In the last month or so I've purchased a few .22 handguns and two of those have been S&W's (317 & 18-3 Combat Masterpiece) and there is always room for one more Smith.
Good luck!!

That's about in the right neighborhood. GB askin' prices ain't the same as gettin' prices.
