I have a friend that has a Marlin est. 1875 model 336, rc cal. 35 rem. serial no. T 7954 any help in value and age of this rifle would be great. thanks in advance

No idea about the age but that was my first hunting rifle many years ago. Paid something like $300 with scope for it. Still a fair price but depending on condition it may go up or down by $50 or so.

Try www.marlin-collectors.com These guys can tell you pretty much anything you want to know about Marlin rifles.

that was my mental price range with out seeing a picture of it or knowing any details about how nice the condition it is, or how many rounds down pipe.

I am not looking for one, but much lower than $270 and i would really want it.

If the T is in your serial # (prefix) then I think that would be a 1960 rifle. Those guns in good condition should always be worth at least 300 to the right individual. The 35 Rem. helps the value some too.

I agree with Bob's 1960 manufacture date.
