Looking for any suggestions for good places to powder some clays in the area. I've been to WCSC twice and while it was nice, kinda limited.

I know it's far, but I've read some good things around here about Bald mountain. My question is what exactly they have out there as far as clays go...

Other than BM, would really like something close so any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Bald Mnt. no trap or skeet. Sporting Clays and 5 stand, that's it for clay shooting. Not sure if they've got the 5 stand open yet.

But if you're going to travel that far from WaCo. You may as well go to Howell Gun Club. Here's our affiliate club section. See if any of these will work out for you. Just make sure you check for "public" shoot days if it applies.

Near Wayne Co., well, you don't have much of a choice. Detroit Sportsman's Congress is about the closest. BM and Huron Pt. are next, then you got to travel. But there are others if your willing to drive about an hour.

I don't know how far you are from Ypsilanti, but Washtenaw sportsman Club (off I-94 and Michigan Ave) have Trap and skeet for general public on Sundays (11 am till 3 pm).. check it out.

I am a member and really like the place. Just wish I had more time to shoot there. Next year I am going to join their rimfire league.

Next year I am going to join their rimfire league.Well I would become a member if I could had the time to volunteer per rules to join the club. Thats is the way all clubs should be. I was a 30 year member of Richmond another great club but since moved down here 10yrs ago. I shot ATA at Monroe back when they were holding events. I am still on there mailing list. Mickey updates me for events & cookouts stuff.

Now for something real good. I was driving north bound past the pickle park.. yesterday bout 3pm. In back of the clubs rifle range stood 3 deer. 2 does and a buck. I stopped on the side to look at him. He was about 14in high and 22 inches wide sporting 14 points!!! Thing of it was..He is in all velvet!!!

Wow guys, thanks for all the great suggestions and quick too. I was thinking about washtenaw. It is only about 20 minutes away from where I am at plus I used to live out there. Might have to go check it out one of these Sundays.

As far as driving, doesn't really bother me if I can spend a day of shooting. Just hate to drive that far for a place that is disorganized and gets you shooting only a couple hours of their actual "operating" hours.
