Actually, it looks pretty good.

Unfortunately, it is a sole Rep introducing these bills with no other support.

I was under the impression that three reps that was behind the bill when it was first introduced, could be the media didn't state facts accurate again I guess.

Just click the links in PT's OP. You will see that the only name on any of them is Beau LaFave.

There are a few different concealed carry reform bills that are currently being looked at. This one only has one sponsor. There is another that has 3 or 4 sponsors, and is more likely to move forward. Neither one has a good chance of getting past Rino Ricky though.

I hate how the politicians are for things when they want your vote BUT once in office it's to hell with the people and only their agenda and the money's importance.

When do these go up for approval. Politics are not my thing, but I just recently heard about this.

I'll try and give the short version of what goes on:

1. A bill is introduced in either house.
2. The bill is assigned to "committee" for review. At this point it can get buried and never see light of day again.
3. Once the committee has hearings on the bill, and a vote is taken in committee it is sent back to the originating house.
4. There the bill languishes until the leadership of that house takes it up.
5. The bill will be read a second time.
6. As wanted by leadership wants, it will be read a third time.
7. If it passes, it gets transmitted to the other house.
8. The bill is read for the first time in that house and assigned to that houses' committee. And again it can get buried again.
9. Once the same process and hearings are done it returns to the floor for a second reading and third reading and vote.
10. It is then returned to the originating house where, if there are no amendments, it gets transmitted to the Governor.
11. If there were amendments, those would have to be approved by the originating house.

With these bills, we are currently at step 2.

These bills also have limited support in the House, so we don't really know what will happen in September when they reconvene.
