It is a good start, but I don't see that making it illegal to ban the sale or purchase would prevent them from forcing the closure of stores. It needs stricter language on the forms of bans that would be restricted.
It is also a little disappointing that it has a solo sponsor. Is he the only one that sees the problem?
Okay, now that I have read all of them:
SB859 and HB5707 amending MCL 10.31 are identical
SB860 and HB5706 amending MCL 30.405 are identical
The two Senate bills have a single sponsor, Tom Barrett.
The two House bills also have a single sponsor, Steven Johnson.
I wouldn't expect anything before this "emergency" is over, but we will see.
