Question Steel targets allowed at Lapeer pit?

i just read the sticky for the lapeer pit which, with regards to targets states "A person shall not do any of the following at the Lapeer pit shooting area:
...Target shoot at other than a paper, cardboard, or commercially-produced portable target designed and manufactured for the specific purpose of target shooting."

Does this mean steel targets are allowed?
    Additionally, are human silhouettes allowed?

if a steel silhouette is a commercially-produced portable target designed and manufactured for the specific purpose of target shooting, it should be okay.
and i've seen them and portable mounting systems for sale at a lot of stores...

Yes, legit steel targets are allowed. They had to specify "commercially-produced portable target designed and manufactured for the specific purpose of target shooting" so people wouldn't bring junk like old appliances and go "technically it's a steel target". There's no prohibition against human silhouettes so those are allowed too.

There are also commercially manufactured targets that are composed of forms of "self-healing" polymers.

They worded it the way that they did so that they could include a larger group of acceptable targets. The basic concept is that the target will readily decompose if abandoned, and that if the shooter has an investment, he will recover it. The statement is intentionally vague, and needs to be thought or asked about.
