Letting someone shoot my gun @ range

    Hey guys -

Yeah, I'm a noob so this is probably a stupid question. I have been searching on the MSP site but not yet successful. I'm wondering if there is a law in the state of MI that would prohibit my wife or friends of mine shooting my guns when we are at the range with me being there?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Ollie

Just follow what Ruger said, the range rules, and you're good to go.

With a pistol anyone under 18 needs to be at a designated range [not backyard] with a parent present and owner of the pistol present.

    Don't do it!

I let someone shoot my muzzle loader once and literally 30 seconds later was surrounded by black SUVs and a swat team landed in a helicopter on the range.

3 years and 50k in legal debt later, I'm finally out of that mess.

Does this mean I can't teach my 15 yr old grandson handgun safety and let him shoot in my back yard? (10 acres w/ a 10ft high 20 ft wide berm) in Sanilac county 10 miles from town.

    Where does it say that?

Would you provide a link to such law that says a minor under 18 cannot shoot a handgun at his parent's or family's backyard while being supervised by the parents?

    Thanks.
