No doubt. If they have rules against more than one shot every 2 seconds they certainly will not make exceptions for multiple rounds per second.

So does this mean I can start shopping for an MP5?

  3. #13
Only if it was manufactured prior to 1986.

..and you have about $12,000.00 burning a hole in your pocket.

    Why bother the BATF?
Their stance on full auto firearms is already known.
This is a MICHIGAN issue. If you want to call someone, call the MSP in Lansing.
Called them too, waiting on a call-back. I woudl imagine notifying the ATF woudl make getting the forms through easier, since then they'll already know about it.

Gary, I was talking to Kurt about this today...It's just wishful thinking. If I were rich, I would buy one. But there is more to it then to just own one. I have a really hard time going to shoot these days and I probably have more time then most on these boards.

I have read the opinion, but I don't see how suppressors fit into this?

I predict MG prices will go up by 30-50% in the next 6-12 months.
I also predict that most ranges/clubs won't let MG owners shoot at their ranges.

Why would MG prices go up with one state changing its law?

You can order MG nationwide, as long as it goes FFL to FFL, right?

    Simple economics.
There are only "X" number of legal MGs that were manufactured prior to 1986. There can be no more.
The pool of buyers just got bigger, but how many people want to sell?
Prices have been rapidly climbing on legal MGs for the past 5-6 years. They will explode this year.

    Big fat "NO" on suppressors.

MSP is of the opinion that since they were not specifically mentioned in the opinion that they are still prohibited.
