I have hear Waterloo State park is decent and I've scouted it a few times but never hunted. I looked around the northeast section. However make sure you're aware of where you are. Not hard to wander on to either prison grounds or areas restricted from shooting do to close proximity. Its well posted from the road. I dont know about in the woods if they have it posted.

You could also try Island lake rec in Brighton or Pinckney State rec

There are a couple of nice spots to pull off and park near Hell. One just before Hell and one going out of Hell towards Gregory.

I've tried Island Lake a few times, but there's too many people that use the trails there. Can you provide more details on the spota around Hell?

D-32 Darwin rd or Patterson Lake rd as its called. If your heading into hell from Dexter Pinckney rd Just before you get to Hell there is a small pull off(State owned) on the right hand side. The other pull off is on the other side of hell on the same side of the road. This area is multi use also but there are usually less people.

Tip....... Get off the trails once you get in there.

Here is a basic map. To get you close
