West Mich Appleseeds- May w/ photos

Ok you westsiders time to dust off the guns and ammo, shake off the rusty skills and turn out for some great marksmanship instruction through Project Appleseed

You will learn three position shooting from standing, sitting and prone using a sling. You will learn how to shoot at long distance, steady hold factors, steps for firing a shot. You will learn essential rifleman skills such at trajectory, comeups, windage, natural point of aim. Best yet you will learn these skills from experienced instructors in a safe environment that is both challenging for experienced shooters but suitable for those new to the shooting sports.

We have two clinics going the weekend of May 17-18

One is at Grasmeyer Guns in Twin Lake

The other is at the Watervilet Rod and Gun Club in (you guessed it) Watervilet.

See below for the June 7-8 shoot in Battle Creek

Twin Lakes are better than One

Twin Lakes is just north of Muskegon and close to Grand Rapids and points north. Great opportunity to try Appleseed. The Grasmeyer brothers have a nice gun shop and range and are great hosts.

If you are in SW Michigan the Watervliet Rod and Gun Club is the place to be on a nice spring weekend to learn marksmanship skills.

Three Chances to be a Rifleman

All events are still on and slots are available for all three. Come on out for some good history and marksmanship instruction.

    Watervliet is in the books!

Shooters had a great time learning marksmanship and history.

We learn standing, sitting and prove using a sling (hasty and loop). This young lady is adjusting the loop sling.

    Shooters with their "Redcoat" targets.

Going to an Appleseed qualifies you to buy a M1 from the CMP and you can have it shipped to your door without having to use a FFL. Get 'em while there is still some left.

This is Kris, aka Steel Thunder aka Warlord of the West who is one of our west Michigan shoot bosses talking about how to get an M1.
