Exclamation Michigan handgun registration is un-needed

Read these two together as they provide an avenue to not register your hand guns in Michigan if you choose not to.

    http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx?mcl-28-422
    That is sec. 2

and this EXEMPTS you from sec 2 of MCL 28.422
    read (f)
    http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx?mcl-28-432

All that is needed is a Michigan CPL and a concealed pistol license from any other state.

I'm sending in my NH application today.
    $100 for 4+ years

If more people do this we can collapse the registration and render it useless.

This might be the thread of the year. Notice how its not specified if the permit from another state needs to be a resident permit either. This is amazing.

Yep, those that don't want to do this, then don't. Just please don't hijack the thread with fear-mongering.

Those of us that understand the Rule of Lenity are enjoying unregistered pistols like people do in the 42+ other states.

It's an individual choice. I just wish if the attorneys on here would assure people of the Rule of Lenity; which isn't really even needed since the law is crystal clear.

    Doug, why New Hampshire?
The Constitution is NOT dead. It's just being held captive.

The "Resident permit" is only needed to carry concealed.

    This is very simple

28-432 exempts you from 28-422 if you are a citizen of the US and have a concealed permit from any other state. period, end of story, no "butt's"

I could have went with any number of out of state permits.

I choose NH because they have a strong grassroots effort going out there to regain freedom. I could download the form and fill it out. All they require is a resident CPL, photo copy of both sides of it and $100 for 4+ years.

I got this info from Jared...

"Easiest by mail is New Hampshire (and fastest) but it's $100 every. 4 years.

Maine is $60 every 4 years with no fingerprints.

Arizona is a good option because it's 5 years and no photo, but prints are required for the initial application. It's $60 for the first time and $43 on renewal"

it's been discussed a few times over the past couple of years. Although past discussions usually involved a lot more fear-mongering and hand-wringing. So far so good, here.
