For once I would like to see polling on repealing unconstitutional firearms laws and restricting the ATF to what is in law, not what they can "rule" on.

    1) I would stand with shooting victim Alison Parker’s father, who has called for action on gun control.
    Agree strongly 30%
    Agree somewhat 2%
    Disagree somewhat 3%
    Disagree strongly 65%
    Total votes: 2896

    2) Once again this case proves that guns are not the real problem.
    Agree strongly 68%
    Agree somewhat 3%
    Disagree somewhat 5%
    Disagree strongly 24%
    Total votes: 2835

    3) I will contact my representatives in Congress to make my feelings known about gun ownership and gun control.
    Certainly 55%
    Maybe 15%
    Doubtful 12%
    No 18%
    Total votes: 2639

    4) I’m a responsible gun owner who also believes that universal background checks would not undermine the 2nd Amendment.
    Agree strongly 17%
    Agree somewhat 6%
    Disagree somewhat 5%
    Disagree strongly 52%
    I don't own guns but I do believe that's true 21%

    "I don't own guns but I do believe that's true" - 22%
So basically 1 out of 4 people think "I don't have a dog in this fight, and I have no real knowledge of the topic... but this is my opinion and you're going to listen to it!"

EDIT: I guess it's closer to 1 out of 5. 11 out of 50 would be correct, but at that point i'd just stick with "22%"

    The Results

Monday Poll results: A heavy turnout on gun questions

In the wake of the killings of two Virginia newspeople while they were on the air, we asked for your thoughts on gun ownership and gun control.

Turnout was heavy, and heavily divided. Here are the results of the unscientific survey, based on more than 3,400 responses.

    1) I would stand with shooting victim Alison Parker’s father, who has called for action on gun control.

    Agree strongly 30%

    Agree somewhat 2%

    Disagree somewhat 3%

    Disagree strongly 65%

    2) Once again this case proves that guns are not the real problem.

    Agree strongly 67%

    Agree somewhat 3%

    Disagree somewhat 5%

    Disagree strongly 24%

    3) I will contact my representatives in Congress to make my feelings known about gun ownership and gun control.

    Certainly 58%

    Maybe 15%

    Doubtful 11%

    No 17%

    4) I’m a responsible gun owner who also believes that universal background checks would not undermine the 2nd Amendment.

    Agree strongly 15%

    Agree somewhat 5%

    Disagree somewhat 5%

    Disagree strongly 53%

    I don’t own guns but I do believe that’s true 22%

    "Heavily divided"?????

yes, there was a heavy division. Our side got the heavy part, their side got the light part.
more than 2 to 1 isn't even close.
