I have OC many times there with no issues.
For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom — for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Bass Pro actually has (or had) a confusing sign asking to check in firearms. So I asked the guy at the door once and he told me that is for people bringing it in to the gun smith, or to have it appraised etc etc. He said "if you are carrying legally we don't need to know about it". Now that was 5-6 years ago when I asked but I seen or heard nothing to suggest that has changed.

They also had back due taxes and owed just shy of 16,000 to the management company for GLX. They were in the process of opening one in Lansing but that seems done as well since they cant come up with the rest of the money to finish construction.
The sign now reads that checking in firearms is only for repairs or service. At the bottom it says cpl holders do not need to check in their firearms. I noticed it a few weeks back but not sure when it was changed.
Forget the location but some dummy at a Bass Pro discharged his long gun at the gun counter after bringing it in for inspection / repair etc. Since then they check and clear all guns brought in excluding carry guns. Cabelas and Gander Mtn do the same; you just cant fix stupid and this is good safety SOP.
**actually just googled 'accidental discharge bass pro' and found 4 separate incidents in the past few years alone. ** So they have some good reasons to do this like it or not . . . .
