Post what you do not want in "Freecycle" and I am sure members here will be happy to take it from you.
For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom — for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Is there a collector's value for old ammo? I have some, in boxes, that is over 40 years old.
I've seen requests on this site and others for "vintage" ammo. So, depending on the caliber, age and general scarcity, I would say that it would be a desired commodity.
For instance, older military 30-06 that is better suited for a Garand is in demand...50 yr old .45, maybe not as much.
Obviously, pricing will vary.
Some people really value the older packaging too, like the cardboard boxes, tins or crates. Especially if it is Military issue.
This if what I do with old ammo.I break it down and reload it to shoot with my many antique and C&R guns.
Some date back to the 1860s I would really like to get this old ammo from you.If you want modern ammo.We can work out a trade.<1FMJ>

Penetrating oil (WD40, PB) should penetrate the sealant and foul the powder.
Another remedy is to pull the bullets and dump the powder.
