I get it! Been there too. I didn't run out and buy a house. I merely suggested there may be housing (apartment on the ground floor, single family home, condo or something else) that you could move to without breaking the bank. ie: same rent but ground floor access or other amenity you would like.

Being ground floor would be less secure do to access opportunities. I've been thinking a safe a around/under 400lbs and put it up against the corner outer walls.
