Look at just what two parts sell on their own, a charging handle and bolt. Or trigger and sight. You cant sell a rifle for $99.

I did see a video where the owner was very giddy about selling tons of guns, hundreds of thousands of guns, he said he wanted his legacy to be that he sold millions of guns in his life and made a gun ban a thing that cannot really work, that there will be too many guns out there, just from him alone. He basically said this will make his life complete, it will be his lives work to thumb his nose at the feds and anti gunners, that he alone could sell so much, that its not really impactfull what they do.

He's not only selling for cheap, he's buying all the facilities to build and sell for even cheaper. His company thrives on volume, not margin.
