    Sounds like a precursor for eliminating guns in school.

    "You don't need to have your gun here. We have an armed police officer here to protect you and your children."

    It certainly won't be a stepping stone to advance our cause.

    I prefer a Police Officer in my childs school instead of just a person with a CPL. As far as training goes. CPL training class is not much more then a Joke.

    I'm not suggesting that a CPL course is proper training for school security. I wouldn't argue that only retired police officers are qualified, either. My concern is that this could be used to rationalize prohibiting CPL holders from entering school property that their own children occupy. At the very least, it doesn't do anything for gun owners and opens the door to do something TO them.
