This is a box of bullets I bought a few weeks back. The shopkeeper was very patient with me, but now I think maybe I should have asked a few more questions.

After seeing the RN, but not the FMJ acronym, in addition to reading this website leads me to believe that there's a lead hazard to shooting these:

However, there doesn't seem to be any exposed lead.

If you shoot hours every day in a small room with no air flow then maybe you'll have a lead exposure problem.

You don't have anything to worry about

The lead exposure problem will come from whether or not the jacket fully encloses the bullet, often the lead base of the bullet is exposed where the hot gases can work on it.

Look for "fully enclosed" jacketed bullets, or plated if lead is a worry.

TMJ - Total metal Jacket vs. FMJ - Full Metal Jacket.

    TMJ covers the base too.

Steel and aluminum cases can crack if you reload. Brass is more malleable.
I throw away any steel or aluminum cases I happen to get.
Nickle plated I keep separated from the rest. I figure I'll make a bunch of pretty bullets one day.

    Flat Nose Enclosed Base.

It's a total metal jacket bullet. Not seeing what they look like, probably a brass jacket over a lead core, but the jacket covers the back of the bullet as well, reducing lead vaporization on the back of the bullet during firing. It is not really lead free, but the lead is totally enclosed.

    From the UMC Website:

UMC handgun ammunition offers the choice of full metal-case, soft point, jacketed hollow point bullets or leadless (leadcore bullets and lead-free primers)
