SKS / Mosin Rifle purchase choices

Now that Gander Mountain is pretty much caput, what are the choices for these types of relics nowadays besides private sales. Cabela's pricing is laughable, but they do have a couple not like the crates full that Gander had of each at one time.

I saw a couple Yugo SKS's there going for $599! That's why I said I thought there pricing was a bit of a joke. I'm glad I got one at Gander when they were on sale for a $300. They used to be even cheaper than that.

It looks like Centerfire Systems has both, but condition might be an issue.

Seems Empire and Classic both have mosins from time to time. I've seen SKSs at both, too, but alas, none right now.

http://www.empirearms.com/rifles.htm Check and read their terms. They have a particular way of doing things.

Aim Surplus mentioned above is another good one to watch.
No clause in the constitution could by any rule of construction be conceived to give congress a power to disarm the people. Such a flagitious attempt could only be made under some general pretence by a state legislature. But if in any blind pursuit of inordinate power, either should attempt it, this amendment may be appealed to as a restraint on both.

Got mine at Cabela's for about $250, I haven't really seen them much cheaper than that online...I don't think you're going to still be able to get Mosins for $100-150 anymore

I agree that is a good price, last time I saw them at Cabela's the few I saw had a $599 price tag on them.

If you just want to get into milsurps buy a cheap one, the higher priced ones are fins, rarer model configurations, etc. The prices can be all over the place lately. Not unlike mausers, ten years ago there was still $175 mausers, they are 250-300 now, and it goes up from there to 1200 or more.
