What I think, and what position "majorities" of LEOS have on what a law abiding citizens should or should not be able to do has no bearing on the subject.

Once a person or group gets what they want, seldom do the stay to help others get the same thing.

How many times have you seen LEO testifying in committee or even making a public statement that the general populous should have the same treatment under a law as them?

Sorry, it doesn't happen. The argument holds no value.

When the cpl law was changed that allowed cpl holders to carry tasers and no purchase permit required from your local police department to purchase a handgun... Would you have fought for police officers to have those same rights that you did/do?

When you point out the "rights" I have that a police officer doesn't (in real life) then we'll talk about it.

The restrictions are that us non-specials are not allowed to use our rights.... We need to stop this nonsense.

Just to be clear here. I am absolutely 100% for more people carrying in more places, but NOT at the expense of separating us into classes. Most people wont fall into the class that is selected to be deemed worthy.

Is it ok for the legal system to treat you like a second class citizen? Do you believe a tiered legal system is Constitutional?

Let's apply this to voting. Since police are government employees, they shouldn't get to vote in municipal elections. We don't want those who are a part of big government to vote for more big government. Their votes are more dangerous because they show a bias towards stronger and bigger government. After all, the goal is to shrink the size of government. I think it is a bite out of the apple that we could all live with.

It doesn't do as much as they think but the police unions and MCOLES don't have a clue about LEOSA.
I was going to point this out, but several beat me to it. This bill really doesn’t do much.

Sure it does. It insults those who can't carry in these places by proposing an unnecessary change.

It's going on 17 years now since the big lie was told about removing these zones in the future, for the average (2nd class) citizen. Instead, the ones we helped elect create bills like this...

That insult has been going on for much longer than this bill.
