I just though that your response, and the timing, was humorous. If you are so thin skinned that you take offense at such a slight observation of reality, maybe the internet is not for you.
I didn't know that there was a contest. In doing a quick check of the counts, I see that I am third behind who dat and PhotoTom. All that I can say is that some people are just not posting as much, or caught the hammer.

I have seen a long tang S&W Model 39, marked 39-2, SN 62771, which had a blued steel frame which was reported to be blued stainless steel. Frame was magnetic, but could have been blued Type 410 or 416 stainless steel. I did not have the opportunity to XRF it. It was also fitted with a double column, high capacity magazine. This pistol appears to have been one of about 100 constructed as pre production examples of the eventual Model 59.
There are other long tang Model 39-2 single column magazine pistols with steel frames reported by collectors, but I have not examined any of them. It is possible that they were constructed from Model 52 frame forgings, or faked using Model 52 frames.
All of the 'correct' steel frame Model 39s I have seen have the short tang typical of the earliest production, mid 1950's production Model 39s. I believe that these pistols were made from original 1950's steel frame forgings which were stored for some time by S&W - possibly in fully machined condition - after having been rejected by the U.S. military selection of the High Standard T3.
Yes, you are, or should I say you're back. But while you were gone, some were "lost", notice no PGA, some closed their account and started all over again (RevDerb now goes by CircutRider, an honorable choice), and granny has popped in, but didn't say much. So.... the counts seem to float around some.
All I can say is that the post count doesn't really mean anything, it is just a function of participation and longevity.
