Looking for a gunsmith to ream a non-heat treated 40 S&W barrel to 10 mm. The manufacturer will be heat treating it later.
I'm in he auburn/midland area.

Are you talking aboun reaming the chamber out to the longer 10mm dimensions? If not then the actual barrel is the same for both .40 and 10mm, .400" and 1:16 rifling so won't need to be changed.

Yea, just need the chamber reamed deeper to the 10mm spec

I reamed my 38 to .357 with a carbide cutter from Production Tool Supply.
Just wondering, if this being done to a semi-auto will the action handle it?

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.
Just buy another barrel.
The M&P line is now available in 10MM. They are on some shelves now.
