Optics Recommendation for a CVA Scout II 357 Mag

I purchased this pistol last year to be able to use it in the Shotgun Territory in Michigan. It has a 14 inch barrel.
I originally purchased a higher end red dot 2X scope to use but found that the accuracy of the pistol was better than expected, so the original 40yd max shot is a little longer. I'm pretty sure I will be able to group out at 75 yds, but the red dot in the scope covers a 1ft target at that range.
I would like to switch over to cross hairs, and still shoulder holster this gun.

I'm looking for recommendations under $450.
