Would like to get my son and myself into a league. Pistols or rifles, where do I start?

We live Downriver, just trying to do something with my son. We need the practice and the knowledge would be great.

You’re pretty close to Taylor, go check out the PPC or Bullseye leagues at Taylor Pistol Club.
Generally, all you have to do is show up. The members will help you get going.

    Taylor Pistol Club

Here's the FB link to the upcoming PPC match.
    https://www.facebook.com/Taylor-Pist...702/?ref=br_rs

Their website hasn't been updated in months, BoD is trying to get the issue resolved, so for now the FB page for the match is the best option.

There are tentative plans for a Range Safety Officer Meeting 12/26 at 6:00. I haven't seen an official announcement for the meeting.

Tuesday nights is the Bullseye league
Wednesday nights is IDPA style practice
Thursday nights is PPC / Free shoot practice

In the spring SE Michigan has a fair few competition options; there are surely more than this, but these are the ones I go to/have been to.

    USPSA:
    Livingston Gun Club ("LGC")
    Detroit Sportsman Congress

    IDPA:
Livingston Conservation and Sports Association (LC&SA)

    3 Gun:
Both LGC and LCSA run 3 gun matches.

It's not a competition, more like practice, and you have to be a member

You're going to have to help me, ROBFOG? The link I posted above to the facebook page for the competition has their address.

You don’t have to be a member of LCSA but you need to be a member od IDPA. Also Wayne County Racoon Hunters Club do both USPSA and IDPA and located mile north of 94 and east of 275
