I do think our licensing is FAR too expensive... Indiana regular permits are $40 and lifetime permits are $125.

    Here's a recent comparison of costs https://www.cga.ct.gov/2013/rpt/2013-R-0048.htm
I have been looking for this web site to no avail. Can you help me on this?

I would rather have CPL's the same price as DL's to renew.

The CPL is still only valid for 5 yrs. The last time I renewed early, the issue date on the new CPL was my birthday.

Correct. However, the ATF doesn't care about validity dates of CPLs…they are concerned about how much time elapses between background checks.

Fortunately, it all averages out in the long run.

Yeah I do by the way. I Don't ask permission to exercise my rights. When you ask permission it then becomes a privilege which can be taken away by the person or group extending the privilege.

I can’t say I’m against civil disobedience. The minute we have to purchase our rights from the govt, they are no longer rights. That being said, the charge you could be facing, if caught, is pretty hefty. I hope you are fully aware of the potential consequences. Also, I wouldn’t recommend posting your decision to do so on a public forum.

(Especially with that Greek guy working as a mole for the ATF)
