    Aluminum Frame care & maintainence

Hey folks, just bought my second Magnum Research Desert Eagle. This time I got the entire component system so I can chamber it .357, .44mag or .50AE.

The particular model I got is the L6 which has an aluminum alloy frame (unlike my .50ae XIX which is steel top-to-bottom). I've never had an alloy frame before and am just curious as to any special care or cleaning notes I may need to know. Can i use standard Hoppes #9 on it, bore cleaner, etc? Are these alloy frames more prone to corrosion? Any info at all would be appreciated if anyone has experience with them. Thank you in advance!

It should be less prone to corrosion. Hoppes, bore blaster, etc is fine.
