Description:
The Gunfighter Fundamental Carbine class is based on developing efficient and fundamental carbine manipulations, while maintaining extremely accurate fire when you are under stress in a self-defense situation. This instructional course is intended for people looking to develop or maintain a solid foundation of very accurate carbine marksmanship and efficient carbine manipulation techniques. Gunfighter skill drills will be utilized through out the day and participants will receive a Gunfighter Carbine Fundamentals skill book.

Course Length
This is a full day class and will last approximately 7 to 9 hours.
Class Size
Our class size is limited to a maximum of 12 students.
Prerequisites
There are no previous class prerequisites for taking this class. We strongly suggest that students with no carbine experience take our Basic Carbine class before attempting this course of instruction. Any United States citizen of good character who is not legally disqualified from possessing a firearm in the U.S. can attend this class. All persons under 18 years of age may only take this class with their parent or with an adult guardian. Though, not a prerequisite, we strongly suggest that you read, "Principles of Personal Defense" by Col. Jeff Cooper, before you take this class.
What to bring to class
1. A serviceable semi-automatic carbine rifle (AR-15, AK47 semi-automatic clone or M1 Carbine style rifles)
2. A serviceable semi-automatic pistol
3. 400 rounds of rifle ammunition
4. 100 rounds of pistol ammunition
5. Three rifle magazines minimum
6. Two pistol magazines minimum
7. A sturdy belt
8. A strong side holster (NO cross draw or shoulder holsters are allowed. In the waist band concealment holsters are fine to use in class. However, if you do not have any training or usage experience with your in the waist band holster, please inform us of this before class day.)
9. A minimum of one rifle magazine pouch
10. A minimum of one pistol magazine pouch
11. Eye protection
12. Hearing protection
13. Clothing appropriate for conditions (Rain gear, a second set of dry clothes and towel is suggested if it looks like conditions will be wet.)
14. A baseball type hat and sun block
15. Insect repellent
16. Food and drinks for a long day
*Note - Pistols should be of 9mm caliber or higher. Pistols of .22LR caliber are not permitted except for cases of medical reason or physical limitations of the shooter.

Who may take this class?
- Any United States citizen who is legally eligible to possess a firearm in the United States of America. We require that all students under the age of 18 are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Each Student will be required to sign a statement of legal eligibility to participate in this course of instruction. Stating you are a United States citizen, not under a court order prohibiting you from owning, using, possessing or handling firearms; or are not disqualified or prohibited under any local, state or federal law from owning, using, possessing or handling firearms; or any knowledge, skills, techniques, responses, abilities or other information learned as a result of any training received will be used in an illegal manner.
Do I need to own a pistol to take this class?
– Yes. You need to bring your own carbine and pistol. Cowboy style single action pistols or target type pistols are not allowed. The carbine and pistol you bring should be of the same type you would carry for self-protection or one you would use in a tactical environment. When you bring your carbine and pistol to the class, make sure they are unloaded and in a case. Make sure to comply with any applicable laws governing the transportation and storage of firearms. If there is any question about the condition your rifle or pistol is in, we ask that you have a qualified gunsmith inspect your firearms to be confident they are safe to fire. Please bring the correct ammo for your carbine and pistol, and ammunition that will comply with the local range regulations.
How much pistol ammunition should I bring?
- We have a requirement of 400 rounds of carbine ammunition and 100 rounds of pistol ammunition for this course of instruction.
Do I need to bring eye and ear protection to this class?
- Yes.
What will we do about lunch?
- Depending on the range location, you may have to bring your own food, local eateries may be close by and used or lunch may be provided by the range...dependent on the range management. We suggest that you check the food arrangements before coming to class and bring enough water/drinks and personal snacks for the day.
