Hope I spelled it right.
I read that the army is in the process of transferring 99,000 more rifles to the CMP.

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

Regardless of which get released by the CMP, they'll probably be over-priced.
Think I heard about the Korean Garands as well at some point, I just put my order in for a Garand from the CMP but I'd love to see some more come in.
From what I understand about 86,000 M1 rifles has been repatriated from the Philippines and 13,000 from Turkey. All were part of the MAP Program originally. They been returned to the US Army and are now in the pipeline at the CMP being processed in Anniston. The 1911/A1's, about 8,000, are also at the CMP waiting to be processed and will likely be available for sale by mail only in approximately 3-4 months. Over priced? I think not. You can buy a "Service Grade" M1 from the CMP for about $730. Compare that to the $1000 rifles you see in pawn shops or at gun shows.

To buy from they you have to be a member of a club or something like that. Kind of leaves some of us out in the cold.
Being a paid member of Mi Gun Owners qualifies you.
“The path of the warrior is difficult!
We live to protect those who cannot protect themselves!
Honor in serving!
Honor in defending!
Honor in dying for a just cause!”
Those requirements are not as ridged as you appear to assume.
Are you a US Citizen?
You should have something to prove that. Are you a member of an affiliated organization?
Even I can see that you are, MGO is listed as such.Have you participated in some form of a marksmanship program?
Most people balk at this one. Do you have a CPL? that qualifies. So do quite a number of other "shooters clinics"
I would guess that you do qualify, without having to do anything at all.
