I feel the number should be one or the other for everything. I thinks it's wrong that you can die in war at 18 but not buy a drink after being at war.

If the magic number is 21, then everything else should align with that magic number...none of this 18 your an adult but 21 you get full adult privileges/rights. All or nothing, pick the age.

Include prosecution as an adult and the right to vote in there too.

Either you have reached the "age of majority" and are entitled to all of the rights, privileges and responsibilities of an adult, or you haven't. That is all!

Explain, I had always heard they lowered it, then had to raise it because 21 year olds do not hang out with 16 year olds, but 18 year olds will buy booze, hang with 16 year olds, get drunk, and the 16 year olds just learned to drive and it is a disaster. Plus its easier to look 18 when you are 16, than pass yourself off as 21.
