How about teen drivers and phone distractions? I bet they create more total victims than ARs. So, how about no cell phones and no driving until you are 21? Think they will understand the comparison?

I feel the number should be one or the other for everything. I thinks it's wrong that you can die in war at 18 but not buy a drink after being at war.
If the magic number is 21, then everything else should align with that magic number...none of this 18 your an adult but 21 you get full adult privileges/rights. All or nothing, pick the age.

This whole mess was created by the special interests who aligned to pass the National Minimum Drinking Age Act in 1984. Now we are experiencing a different constellation of special interests using the same nanny state playbook.
The absolute travesty is the soldier with as many as two tours on the two way range being insulted by being deprived the right to own weapons far less powerful than the ones he has been using responsibly and safely for almost three years...
Of course, we could change the minimum recruitment age to 21... I bet that would put the cat amongst the pigeons...
Explain, I had always heard they lowered it, then had to raise it because 21 year olds do not hang out with 16 year olds, but 18 year olds will buy booze, hang with 16 year olds, get drunk, and the 16 year olds just learned to drive and it is a disaster. Plus its easier to look 18 when you are 16, than pass yourself off as 21.
Thats probably the most fair thing, same with singing contracts, gambling, smoking, credit, dropping out of school, curfews, RENTING a car where they will deny you at 25, join military etc etc.
I know they have different objectives but the idea is you are not enough fill in the blank.
They just need to pick the two or three most imporant things, pick the age, and that its for everything.
I read the other day 11 teens die everyday from texting and driving. Not sure if it is true, I read it on the internet.
