Put monitors on every desk in the office.
When was the last time you saw an office worker that didn't look around during the workday?
If they can service the public during their normal work day they can look at a monitor to see if someone is coming to KILL them.
I wouldn't even increase their pay for all the extra effort it takes to glance at a monitor several times or just when an alarm went off.

there are a number of problems, no one wants to pay for it, then not use it. Its like any form of insurance its looked at as a waste, then they need it and they want it. No one likes to plan ahead, no one wants to follow basic rules, basic rules are for other people, or the day the superindendent is auditing the building, obviously not for the teachers, or coaches, they do not have to follow rules. Rules are for freshmen, not senriors, rules are for the kids, not visiting adults.

Its all a giant Cluster you know what.

Someone earlier mentioned proping doors open, they do that in apartments and dorms and its mostly to help single woman, and who does it to go to take the trash out to save 2 seconds of time, the single woman. No one is raping me in the hall way, or choking me out in my dorm room, its a non issue for me back in the day.

You cannot have as little as a dozen people in a group before half the group thinks the most basic stuff is only for others.

After parkland there was a shooting rumor at my son's high school. I called and got 5 different people who could not tell me what the safety protocol was for an active shooter on campus. 5 ****ing people, finally got the superintendent on the phone. Who assured me our kids are safe.....

So ... call back tomorrow and ask again.
By now, EVERYBODY should know the policy.

Is it commonplace for the school to tell everyone what the protocols are?
