Enhance gun rights to protect way of life

An article was posted recently about a school superintendent in Oklahoma, Charles McMahan, who agreed to talk with a newspaper about his program enabling trained teachers and other staff to carry guns in school.

He began this program not after the Parkland shooting, but after the Sandy Hook shooting in 2012. His staff are trained for accuracy at much higher standards than the police. Oklahomans are supporting this protective trend. McMahan says he looks at his schoolchildren as if they were his own. The article is available at http://dailysignal.com/2018/03/05/to...to-carry-guns/.

At least eight states already have programs allowing school faculty and other staff to carry concealed weapons on K-12 campuses. (id.) A private, firearms training group called Faster Saves Lives says it worked with 1,300 school staffers in 12 different states.

Rationally thinking Americans, looking at the reality that guns don’t kill, people do, are choosing protecting their children. In California, one of the states with the highest violent crime rate by street gangs and illegal migrants, anti-gun advocates scream “No way!” shunning the idea of training and arming its teachers, thus leaving schools and children “soft targets” for mass shooters to prey upon those in gun-free zones.
