I’m going to necro post this to point out that 2/3 of respondents say we are a pro gun state.

I support the 2A sanctuary status as a message to our representatives. Without actions like this people will believe the propaganda that 80% of gun owners support more gun control. We don’t.

I would rank Michigan just about at or near the median if you ranked states from most gun friendly to least gun friendly.

As others have already said, the 'registration' of pistols is a real negative in my opinion. Of course with an out of state CPL you can get around it, but you shouldn't have to live through loopholes.

Constitutional, permitless carry would be a big step towards 'pro-gun'.

Aside from that, all other complaints of mine are due to Federal laws that this and all States obey.

I live up north. Have a range on my property and can shoot all I want. Only have had the LE show up once as some campers were concerned with the significant gun fire they were hearing. LE and I chatted for a while pleasantly discussing city folk and their lack of understanding rights and as he was leaving I asked that he tell the complainers welcome to up north and that I75 southbound was open should they not like it. So, all good in that sense.

No, we are not. We are a pro hunting state. Mostly fudds who think 2a protects right to hunt. Pull out an AR and they freak out.
