Depends on how much you want to spend.. & a bunch of other factors..
what are you going to use it for ?... Target shooting ?... Hunting ?
How good is your eyesight ?
most scope have about the same size lens next to your eye.
The Objective lens (toward muzzle) ranges in size, from about 32 mm to over 50mm
the larger the front lens, the more light is gathered.. & you can see better.
But the larger the lens, the heavier the scope.
(these comments are generalizations on scopes, overall)
Quality of the lenses is in part determined by how much you spend on the scope.
Usually more expensive scopes have higher quality lenses..(why they cost more)
On your Win 94, where does the brass eject. If it's an older model, it (probably) ejects from the top.
On mine, I bought a scope mount that attaches by screws to the side of the receiver, making it
a "side mount".. shop around & find a mount you like, then chose a scope that you like & is in your price range.
happy shopping..
Optics planet website is a good website to look @ options,
but not necessarily the best place to buy.
if you are going to be hunting in thicker brush I would geep peep sights, and with 30-30 the ammo makes a big difference, make sure you practice with LEVERevoltion ammo. Thats what you want if you are trying to keep accuracry at 100 yards or more with a 30-30.
I am getting sub MOA with 170 gr Speer FP, RL15 and a 80's era Marlin
Correct, stumbled on the load on the first try and shoots better than the Vanguard 270.
I have a bunch of different ammo for it. I'm not really sure how to use the iron sight on this. My pistol sights makes sense, my 30 30 have like a curved v and a ball. Do I put the ball at the bottom of the v?

My dads old m94 had a "U" shaped notch with a smaller "U" that the front bead would just fit in in the center of. I was taught to place the bead in the smaller center notch and used them that way. Dad got frustrated with them like you and finally put a Williams rear peep on it while I was still in my teens.

If you want peep sights, you could get a tang sight.
