    What year, my xd45 is from 2005 it has steel rails.

    nope, the rear rails on XD9/40's are polymer

    damn, just checked my xd45 its plastic also.

    No wear on it though. Ill be damned, guess I need to clean it in better light, I never even noticed it.

    So the Ruger and XD don’t have ANY metal rails in them? I never noticed.
    I thought the front had metal rails

    XD front is metal. Ruger is all poly

    Wild! You learn something new all the time. I’ve been in the business for 26 years, and would have argued that the rails on both of those pistols MUST be metal.

    How many rounds do you have through your Gen 1 frames DW?
