Scope recommendation wanted for Ruger 10/22 takedown

Looking for a good quality scope for a Ruger 10/22 takedown that will fit in the Ruger bag without removing the scope. I'm guessing the scope length needs to be in the 8" to 9" range. Variable power is preferred .

    Any suggestions appreciated . Thanks

Not sure if these are short enough, but they are nice scopes for the money.

Here are some comments from a Rimfire Central search for your question.

Depending on your budget, most 2-7X rimfire scopes fit in the case. A "cheaper" alternative seems to be the UTG Bugbuster 3-9X.

I know that Leupold has discontinued their VX2 2-7X Rimfire Compact. I wouldn't put UTG "stuff" on a water pistol.

I think for not much more you can do a lot better than UTG, I would buy a UTG non moving part like a flah light mount, or something like that.

You could save ten bucks or be even steven on a nikon prostaff rimfire compared to UTG.

The Leapers Bug Buster 3-9X 32 is very nice and has all the great possibilities for less than $ 100. Compact, dignified eye relief and fits the bag.
It also has a focus on the mesh piece, although this feature is not included in the instruction manual!

It's not opening. Just rimfire not a specific page.

I put a 3x9 50mm scope on mine and worked great! Just a $60 Tasco from Walmart. Nice and easy to get target in crosshairs quick like.
