I wasn't going to get involved... However, since you're wanting some commentary...

I'm medically retired from the Army, so I would benefit from this. However, this isn't want I want to see get passed. I want to see the fees reduced to the actual price it costs to process the licenses. I don't need a carve out- I just don't want my rights used as a cash cow for who knows what at MSP.

Thank you for serving our Country. I served for ten years myself. And to be quite honest, I actually support this legislation.

I was merely attempting to point out the duplicity of some on this forum.

If you'll check back in the archives, you'll find when similar legislation has been offered, it was opposed by the majority of contributors here.

But that wouldn't jive with your persecution complex.
Continue on with your pitty party and don't let facts get in your way, as you know, a cop can NEVER be wrong.

I'm not a Cop, I'm retired and spend my time either on a golf course or managing my retirement investments. But, thanks for playing along Leader. As usual, you resort to personally attacks. As a Veteran, I'll simply say this: "You're welcome for my service to this Country".

    Good day Sir.

As a veteran myself, I don't feel "special" or seek recognition for my service nor do most that I served with.

Since when, has our opposition to carve outs stopped them from imposing a tiered system of 2A rights?

Yes, this is mostly election year "soapbox", and I don't expect it to go anywhere. Yet, most of the time these carve outs are about PFZs or registration. There isn't a lot in there about "free" licenses at this point.

One person bitching about the subject in general should be sufficient.

    Only in one's own mind.
This bill is unique. If if one were to actually read the bill, one would notice that they don't define "retired". For the military, that would start after 20 years of service, with other conditions applicable. There are not that many that would qualify by the letter of the law.
